On-Line Venue - Paltalk
Paltalk is a premier real-time, video-based chat community with more than 4 million members and thousands of chat rooms to choose from on virtually every subject. Members interact with each other through real-time voice, text and video chat.
You should download paltalk days before our meeting so that you can become familiar with paltalk. Visit some rooms chat with a few people and most importantly take the "Paltalk tour"! [video below]
Our room is Take Back The Republic and is located under the category Social Issues and Politics and then the sub category Government and Politics.
Two Options - Paltalk software or your Internet browser
Option 1 Software - Paltalk Scene
Paltalk scene - this option offers more features: Go to http://www.paltalk.com/ and click on "Download for free". After you download paltalk and install it choose a user name and password and sign on. Please take the video "Paltalk tour" below to get an overview of the program.
You will need a mic and speakers. If you have problems with your mic or speakers or any other issue - Open your PaltalkScene then click on "Help" then click on "Go to a online help room".
IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is important to get a user name and password, at least an hour or even days before the meeting, and test drive the system, visit other rooms and go to the help room to test your mic and speakers. We cannot help you when the room is open.
Paltalk is free but if you find that you are going to visit the paltalk community often you might want to consider getting a paid version [blue name] at about $35 per year. This will eliminate all the pop up and banner ads.
Option 2 USING YOUR INTERNET BROWSER
Downloading the software is a superior experience then participating here on your internet browser but for those who prefer not downloading the software you can sign-up for a user name and password below and enter our room using this page on your internet explorer.
When our room is open you may click on the url below and you will be able to access our room with your internet browser. If you are directed to our group page then the room has not yet been opened try again in a few minutes. We will be opening the room on Monday nights at 7:30 PM EST.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When entering the room through a browser in order to participate and watch videos you must respond to two requests (1) Request to open site you must click yes this will open one advertisement that you can close (2) Adobe Flash Player settings you must allow or you will not see video or talk.
